Mental Health Support Specialist in Emergency Department

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our high-risk mental health patients during crisis events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous care and supervision of patients to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Assist with routine patient care activities, including vital sign collection, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish goals and restrictions of privileges based on patient behavior and level of care.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in mental health or human services related field preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare or mental health preferred.
- Excellent communication skills desired with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
