Head of Brand Strategy

The Senior Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for spearheading the comprehensive go-to-market strategy and execution. This role involves defining product positioning, unique selling propositions, consumer messaging, content themes, and campaign ideation along with strategic planning. The individual will manage the overarching brand marketing calendar to align with the financial objectives of the organization and each channel leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the annual Marketing Plan through cross-functional collaboration, which includes new product launches, support plans for key pillars, promotional activities, and significant events aimed at driving revenue growth and expanding market share across all brands and product lines.
- Analyze consumer behavior, market trends, and category insights to propose innovative product ideas to leadership for development.
- Lead the creation of insightful, innovative marketing campaigns and provide the activation team with the necessary strategies, narratives, and plans for each initiative.
- Utilize consumer research and post-campaign evaluations to continuously refine marketing strategies and programming.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and partnership.
- Assess the sales potential of new product innovations through detailed market analysis and sizing evaluations.
- Oversee the execution of the Marketing Plan by empowering the team to create products and compelling communications, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Social Media, Influencer Relations, Creative, and Sales to implement successful 360-degree campaign activation plans.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to create award-winning formulations and appealing packaging that captivates consumers.
- Work with the Creative team to craft impactful storytelling through engaging creative assets.
- Communicate product launch strategies and plans to management and across the organization, ensuring leadership buy-in on key marketing initiatives.
- Optimize product assortment by identifying opportunities for innovation, analyzing top and low-performing SKUs, and developing action plans for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Over 7 years of experience in brand or product marketing within the color cosmetics industry.
- Experience collaborating with C-Level Executives, Board Members, or Founders.
- Strong ability to analyze market data and leverage insights for strategic solutions.
- Proven collaborative leadership skills.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong quantitative data analysis skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing project timelines and milestones.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment without established processes.
- Willingness to commute as required.
