We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Information Technology Professor to join our faculty team at Full Sail University. As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Information Technology Bachelor of Science program.
Key Responsibilities- Create a dynamic and engaging learning environment through effective teaching methods and materials.
- Develop and update curriculum to ensure it remains current and relevant to industry standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to encourage active learning and student participation.
- Assess student outcomes and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and development.
- Perform lectures for campus courses and hold virtual course meetings for online courses.
- Interact positively with diverse student populations and provide equal opportunities for learning.
- Maintain knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education and professional development.
- Minimum of four (4) years related and verifiable work experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical degree.
- Industry security certifications (e.g. CISSP, Security+, CASP+, Pentest+, CySA+) are a plus.
- Proficiency in software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with information security principles, security incident response escalation workflows, vulnerability mapping, or regulatory/risk management principles is required.
- Essential experience with a variety of logging and security analysis toolsets is preferred.
This is a full-time position in Winter Park, FL. Work is performed in an office and classroom environment. The employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active student and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
