Position Summary:

The Airport Operations Associate is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service within the airport environment. This role involves verifying passenger identification, managing luggage, processing flight reservations, and assisting with both arrivals and departures. The associate is responsible for preparing the aircraft cabin for takeoff, facilitating passenger boarding and deplaning, and addressing the needs of customers requiring special assistance. Proficiency in public speaking, computer usage, and familiarity with airport operations are essential. This position may be offered on a part-time or full-time basis depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Facilitate the check-in process for passengers using computer systems
  • Authenticate passenger identification
  • Handle and manage passenger luggage
  • Announce flight statuses and boarding information through the public address system
  • Maintain clear communication with passengers to keep them informed
  • Promote additional services to passengers
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless customer service
  • Prepare the aircraft cabin for boarding, including light cleaning duties
  • Operate airport equipment, such as boarding bridges and airstairs
  • Assist passengers with special needs

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • One (1) year of experience in customer service, volunteer work, or sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Successful completion of an assessment evaluating adaptability, customer service, and safety orientation
  • Adherence to uniform standards
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in using computers and basic office applications
  • Ability to use communication devices effectively
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • May require a valid Driver License based on location
  • Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds frequently
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of experience in customer service, volunteer work, or sales
  • Understanding of customer service principles

Compensation:
