About the Opportunity

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider Leader to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing patient care services as part of a dynamic healthcare team, assessing, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans, and consulting with other members of the healthcare team when appropriate.

In this role, you will work independently and in collaboration with physician(s) and interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive clinical and organizational direction and leadership to the healthcare provider team in the care of patients. Your responsibilities will include performing comprehensive history and physical assessments, documenting findings, ordering and interpreting diagnostic labs and tests, forming medical diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

You will also initiate specialty consultations referrals when necessary, develop and evaluate clinical pathways and protocols, collaborate with Attendings and/or Fellows regarding admissions and community transfers, facilitate the timely flow of patients via collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, recognize acute/emergent situations requiring immediate responsiveness, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
