Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

At The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia, we're seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you'll provide exceptional patient care services and lead clinical initiatives.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Independently and collaboratively with physicians, provide comprehensive clinical direction and leadership to the healthcare team.
  • Perform comprehensive history and physical assessments, documenting findings and ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives, support performance improvements, and advance patient care delivery.
Leadership & Education
  • Acknowledge and practice evidence-based practices, utilizing research in patient care delivery.
  • Develop, mentor, and empower healthcare professionals, promoting education and growth within the community.
  • Lead in the development of the Advanced Practice Role, advocating for patients and families.
Required Qualifications
  • Maintain professional licensure, DEA registration, and national certification as required by the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing.
  • Stay current with professional development, pursuing educational opportunities and serving on committees.
