Job Overview
  • Position / Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technician
  • The ideal candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of procedures including g-tube placement, central line insertion, chemotherapy administration, etc. The Interventional Radiology labs necessitate that technicians are licensed Radiologic Technologists.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years

  • Pending Licenses: Not accepted – a valid Florida State or compact license is required at the time of submission
  • Floating Requirements: Yes - determined by unit's needs. May be required to float to affiliated facilities.
  • Block Schedule Accommodation: To be determined by unit's needs.
  • Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate as travelers.
  • RTO Restrictions: Finalized RTO must be included with submission. RTO will not be accepted after an offer is made.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours are guaranteed.
  • Special Requirements: Experience in Community Hospital and Outpatient settings is essential
  • Emergency and Trauma Level I Experience: Required
  • Epic Experience: Preferred
  • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
  • Facility Details: Level II Adult Trauma Center
  • Total Staffed Beds: 514
  • Scrub Color: Not specified – Any solid-colored scrubs (matching top and bottoms required). No logos or prints.
  • Charting System: Allscripts - required.
  • Parking: Free with decal provided at orientation.
Job Requirements
  • X-ray experience is essential
  • Experience with Cardiac Stent Placement is required
  • Experience in g-tube placement, central line insertion, and chemotherapy administration is required
  • PACS experience is necessary
  • Experience with Portables and contrast is required
  • Familiarity with Xper and Phillips systems is required
Schedule Information
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes - will be on buddy call with their manager for the initial nights of orientation, then with the other full-time nurse. Weekend call will commence during the first week, followed by an every-other-weekend schedule.
  • On-call Requirement: Yes - will be on buddy call with their manager for the initial nights of orientation, then with the other full-time nurse. Weekend call will start during the first week, followed by an every-other-weekend schedule. Call commitment is approximately 33% of the month, translating to about 10-14 shifts per month depending on team RTO. Weekday call begins when the team finishes for the day, typically by 1745 until 0715 the following morning. Saturday is a workday if scheduled, with call starting when the team finishes for the day; Sunday is call only. Typically, if it is the individual's weekend to work/take call, it will be from Friday to Sunday (Monday at 0715).
