Position Overview
  • Role / Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge of procedures including g-tube placements, central line insertions, chemotherapy administration, and more. The Interventional Radiology (IR) labs necessitate that the technologists are licensed Radiologic Technologists.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years
  • First-time applicants: Accepted
  • Pending Licenses: Not accepted – a valid Florida State or compact license is required at the time of submission
  • Floating within the unit: Yes - subject to unit's requirements. May be required to float to affiliated facilities.
  • Block Schedule Accommodation: To be determined based on unit's needs.
  • Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate as traveling staff.
  • RTO Restrictions: Finalized RTO must be included with submission. RTO will not be accepted post-offer.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours are guaranteed.
  • Special Requirements: Experience in Community Hospital and Outpatient settings is required.
  • Emergency Room and Trauma Level I Experience: Required
  • Epic Experience: Preferred
  • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
  • Facility Designation: Level II Adult Trauma Center
  • Total Staffed Beds: 514
  • Scrub Attire: Any solid-colored scrubs (matching top and bottom, no logos or prints).
  • Charting System: Allscripts - required.
  • Parking: Free with decal provided during orientation.
Job Responsibilities
  • X-ray experience is required.
  • Experience with Cardiac Stent Placement is necessary.
  • Experience in g-tube placements, central line insertions, and chemotherapy administration is essential.
  • PACS experience is required.
  • Experience with portable imaging and contrast administration is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Xper and Phillips systems is required.
Schedule Details
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes - will participate in buddy call with the manager during initial orientation, then with other full-time staff. Weekend call begins in the first week and follows an every-other schedule.
  • On-call Requirement: Yes - will be on buddy call with the manager for the first few nights of orientation, then with other full-time staff. Weekend call starts in the first week, typically resulting in 10-14 shifts per month depending on team RTO. Weekday call begins after daily responsibilities are completed, generally from 17:45 until 07:15 the following morning. If scheduled on a Saturday, call starts after daily responsibilities; Sunday is call only. Generally, if it is the individual's weekend to work or take call, it will be from Friday to Sunday (Monday at 07:15).
