Position Overview
  • Role: Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Essential Skills: Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of procedures including g-tube placements, central line insertions, chemotherapy administration, etc. The Interventional Radiology labs require technicians to be licensed Radiologic Technologists.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years
  • First-time Candidates: Accepted
  • Licensing: Florida State or compact license required at the time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted.
  • Floating: Technologists may be required to float to sister facilities based on unit needs.
  • Block Schedule Accommodation: Subject to unit's requirements.
  • Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate as travelers.
  • RTO Restrictions: Finalized RTO must be included with submission; no changes accepted post-offer.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours are guaranteed.
  • Special Requirements: Experience in Community Hospital and Outpatient settings is necessary.
  • Emergency and Trauma Experience: Required for Level I settings.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Epic system.
  • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
  • Facility Details: Level II Adult Trauma Center with 514 staffed beds.
  • Scrub Attire: Any solid-colored scrubs (matching top and bottom, no logos or prints).
  • Charting System: Allscripts is required.
  • Parking: Free parking available with decal provided at orientation.
Job Responsibilities
  • X-ray experience is mandatory.
  • Experience with Cardiac Stent Placements is required.
  • Proficiency in g-tube placements, central line insertions, and chemotherapy administration is necessary.
  • PACS experience is required.
  • Experience with portables and contrast is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Xper and Phillips systems is required.
Schedule Information
  • Weekend Requirements: Yes - will be on buddy call with the manager during initial orientation and subsequently with other full-time staff. Weekend call begins in the first week and continues on an alternating basis.
  • On-call Requirements: Yes - will be on buddy call during initial orientation and with full-time staff thereafter. Call commitment is approximately 33% of the month, translating to about 10-14 shifts monthly depending on team RTO. Weekday call typically starts after 5:45 PM until 7:15 AM the following morning. Saturday is a workday if scheduled, with call starting post-shift; Sunday is call only. Weekend work/call typically spans Friday to Sunday (Monday at 7:15 AM).
