Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Vendor Management and Accounts Payable Expert to join our team at CBIZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendors and providing accounts payable support to our department and/or business units.

About the Role: As a Vendor Management and Accounts Payable Expert, you will be responsible for administering vendor set up and approval, equipment leasing process, monthly accrual reporting and processing, and executing the yearly process of 1099s. You will also ensure the successful completion of month-end close and reporting, review and reconcile invoices, and log and research business unit and vendor issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendors and provide accounts payable support to department and/or business units
  • Administer vendor set up and approval
  • Equipment leasing process
  • Monthly accrual reporting and processing
  • Execute yearly process of 1099s
  • Ensure successful completion of month-end close and reporting
  • Review, reconcile and validate invoices, and/or billing statements for accuracy
  • Log and research business unit and vendor issues pertaining to Accounts Payable through departmental help desk
  • Research variances or errors in work product, escalating to management if significant
  • Identify risks and opportunities within Accounts Payable department
  • UPS and Pitney Bowes account administration
  • Responsible for granting account access to Dun and Bradstreet and reporting for business units
  • Actively participate in testing scenarios for the accounting/financial system upgrade
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint a plus
  • Prior AP experience preferred
  • Able to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail
