Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Manager is a key role within the Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. team, responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department. This position requires a professional with strong financial management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts payable staff, ensuring all team members are properly trained and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and reconcile accounts.
  • Oversee the payables for Taro US and MA locations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  • Coordinate with the IBM team to ensure seamless invoice processing.
  • Check and upload payment runs for the mentioned locations.
  • Create new vendors in the vendor master and update existing ones.
  • Make ad-hoc payments for the mentioned locations.
  • Set up templates in banks for wire payments.
  • Clear advances and reconcile vendors for the mentioned locations.
  • Assist the Director of Payables in various payables and banking tasks.
  • Provide guidance on proper financial transaction handling in operational areas.
  • Support special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in integrated general ledger systems, such as SAP and Open Text.
  • Strong ability to learn new applications as required.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately.
  • A strong understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed and travel 20% of the time.
