Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist to provide nutrition services to clients in various settings within a district. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of nutrition and dietetics principles and practices, as well as strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient nutritional assessments and evaluations in clinic, school, and community settings
- Develop and monitor nutritional care plans and food packages
- Certify clients for participation in public health programs
- Provide basic and secondary/high risk nutrition education
- Make referrals to programs such as Medicaid, AFDC, and SNAP benefits
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of nutrition and dietetics principles and practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with patients and staff members individually and in group settings
- Ability to respond to public inquiry regarding the WIC program
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian certification
- Prior public health experience and/or experience with WIC program

Applicants will need to provide their AHP Letter (formerly COD) provided by the Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services (DARS), or the Department for the Blind & Vision Impaired (DBVI).
