Salary Range: $75K-$85K/Annum

Position Overview:
As a Fire Alarm Systems Estimator Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by identifying and evaluating potential bid opportunities. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate estimations and contributing to the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to assess potential bidding opportunities.
  • Thoroughly review architectural plans, including fire alarm, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection layouts.
  • Determine specific equipment requirements for projects.
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate existing conditions prior to or during the estimating process.
  • Utilize computer-based PDF software (Bluebeam) to accurately layout devices in accordance with architectural drawings and applicable NFPA standards.
  • Estimate labor requirements based on site conditions, project scope, and schedule, and accurately categorize them within our estimating software.
  • Define inclusions and exclusions for estimates.
  • Coordinate with the operations team on change order requirements and develop estimates for modifications on ongoing projects.
  • Participate in Work In Progress (WIP) meetings to analyze job cost projections.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the fire alarm sector, with a preference for estimating or field experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships across various levels of the organization.
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is highly regarded.
  • Notifier certification is preferred.
