About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Maryland State Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing Maryland state inspections and troubleshooting issues to ensure maximum reliability and functionality.
Responsibilities- Examine and diagnose vehicles to identify potential issues
- Discuss repairs with shop foremen or service advisors to ensure accurate estimates
- Communicate additional service requests to service advisors to ensure seamless execution
- Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foremen to optimize efficiency
- Provide labor time estimates to service advisors to ensure accurate billing
- Monitor repair time and update service advisors regularly to ensure timely completion
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
- Complete detailed documentation for client repairs to ensure transparency
- Assist in mentoring technician trainees to ensure knowledge transfer
- Attend company and factory training to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies
- Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations to ensure compliance
- Maryland State Inspection License Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three months of related experience and/or training
- Authorized to work in the USA
- Pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
