Automotive Repair Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician A to join our team at Pep Boys. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of technicians to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
- Perform job duties of all lower job descriptions, including Technician B, Mechanic, and General Service Technician.
- Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals, including employees and customers.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Assist fellow technicians and mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
- 4 or more ASE certifications are preferred for this position.
- Section 609 certification required.
- State Inspection license if applicable.
- High level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
