Job Overview

Salary: $60,000 - $90,000

This full-time role is integral to supporting the operations of the United States Forest Service (FS) within the Fire and Aviation Management (FAM) sector. The primary focus is on the development, maintenance, and user training of information systems utilized by interagency incident management teams across the nation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience, where four years of relevant experience can substitute for a degree)
  • At least 5 years of experience in Wildland Incident Management
  • A minimum of 5 years of dispatching experience
  • At least 4 years of experience with wildland fire data integration
  • Expertise in the CAD application, including all incident data types, reports, and integrated systems such as State CADs, IRWIN, IROC, OIS, NIFC Org Spatial Data, and FAMAuth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for operations, user assistance, testing, training, data management, and administration for WildCAD-E under the guidance of the government Project Team.
  • Deliver Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support, facilitating troubleshooting for applications, connectivity, server infrastructure, databases, reports, and network activities, as well as Tier 2 Helpdesk User support as needed.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are documented and maintained through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Develop and maintain knowledge-based documentation in collaboration with the Bighorn WildCAD-E helpdesk and the government project team.

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US to meet clearance requirements.
  • All candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check, including Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Employment Verification, and Credit History.
  • Public Trust background investigations may take several weeks and require fingerprinting.
