Position Overview: Novant Health Cancer Institute is in search of a distinguished and collaborative physician executive to lead their Oncology/Hematology program in the Winston-Salem area and its surroundings.

Key Opportunities:

  • This program emphasizes disease sub-specialization and promotes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring close collaboration with other specialties including heart and vascular, neurology, and surgical services. Furthermore, we are proud to have a growing FACT-accredited cellular therapy program.
  • The Greater Winston-Salem Market operates as a division of Novant Health Cancer Institute, comprising over 100 specialists across more than 30 locations throughout North Carolina.
  • This position reports directly to Dr. David Rizzieri, the system physician executive for Novant Health Cancer Institute. Together with fellow market leaders, the successful candidate will strategize and implement growth initiatives for their team.
  • The provider will hold an active medical staff position with Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and will be integrated into Novant Medical Group.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the medical field, with ongoing professional development encouraged during their tenure.
Responsibilities:
  • This role encompasses both administrative (0.5 FTE) and clinical (0.5 FTE) responsibilities.
  • The leader will oversee quality, safety, patient experience, financial performance, growth, and strategic objectives for the market, collaborating closely with an administrative partner.
  • Lead a team of over 50 providers across 9 clinic locations while working in conjunction with the leadership and administration of 5 regional hospitals.
