Position Overview

The successful candidate will be an individual who firmly believes in the potential of all students to learn and grow. They will work interdependently with teachers, school, and district leaders to improve student learning by meeting the needs, interests, and aspirations of students.

  • In personalizing learning for students, meeting academic, social, and emotional needs and aspirations so that each student feels valued and has a sense of belonging, leading to academic success.
Responsibilities

Under the direction of the OST Youth Programs Coordinator and daily guidance of the OST Manager, the Child Care Aide assists in setting up the child care location and environment in preparation for daily program events, activities, and functions. They assist in implementing and monitoring activities to assure the safety of participants and staff, adherence to program rules and guidelines, and the quality of service.

Requirements

We prefer candidates who have demonstrated excellence in collaboration with colleagues and enthusiasm to work with students. Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to growth as evidenced by ongoing professional learning, participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.

No previous experience required. Six months previous experience working with school-aged youth or directly related work experience preferred.

Benefits

A competitive salary range of $14.25 to $16.40 per hour. Plus $1.75 per hour through MN DHS Grant funds. Individuals qualified and appropriately licensed will be considered for an interview.
