Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT FT to join our team at UHS. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for performing routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures, maintaining respiratory equipment, and ensuring ventilator and life support equipment are operable.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain respiratory equipment and ensure ventilator and life support equipment are operable.
  • Provide routine respiratory patient assessment.
  • Perform some invasive procedures such as ABGs and assist with intubation.
Qualifications
  • Must be licensed by the State of Texas to perform Respiratory Care under the guidelines of the Respiratory Care Practitioners Act.
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  • Must have a High School diploma, GED or Higher Education.
  • Must be eligible through the N.B.R.C. via one of the following: Certification program or experience in all modes of respiratory care.
  • Must be currently licensed by the state of Texas as RRT.
  • Must have and maintain a current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • PALS and NRP certification within six (6) months of the hire date and current thereafter.
