Job Title: Director of Furniture (Workplace and Educations Interiors)

Brame Specialty Co. is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the furniture category, ensuring efficient, effective, and profitable operations to meet business growth goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional and project-based furniture sales and installation across various markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team, assigning roles and responsibilities to improve overall efficiencies and drive sales for the furniture segment.
  • Provide leadership, working cross-functionally with other departments to execute furniture category strategies.
  • Develop and implement selling strategies around transactional and project-based furniture sales.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing business tactics for development, marketing, and sales goals for the furniture category.
  • Develop and execute plans to meet revenue and profit goals for the furniture category.
  • Coordinate with Sales Leadership to develop and execute plans for training sales consultants in furniture knowledge and sales skills.
  • Make recommendations, assist with negotiations, and provide guidance on vendor partnerships and inventory management.
  • Assist in preparing capital budget plans and expense management plans for the department.
  • Provide guidance and direction on furniture, space planning, and design-related inquiries.
  • Assist procurement with vendor vetting, dealership agreements, and quality monitoring.
  • Continually analyze customer requirements and develop product recommendations to drive sales.
  • Address customer queries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist sales consultants with manufacturer, item, and design selection, as well as customer negotiations.
  • Remain engaged and updated on industry trends and market competitions.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferred.
  • Applicable understanding of P&L, financial statements, and budgets.
  • 5+ years of experience in the project-based furniture field.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint, Excel, Planner, PowerPoint, and CET Designer.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background and Motor Vehicle Report checks, as well as the company's drug testing requirements.
Work Environment:
  • Sit for long periods as a desk or riding in a vehicle.
  • Climb steps to enter and exit buildings for site surveys.
  • Ability to lift, maneuver, and transport furniture samples or assist with installations.
  • Work with a CRT screen for extended periods.
  • Fast-paced, ever-changing, and fluid work environment.
  • All employees are expected to cross-train and multitask.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel.
