Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and notices.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal statutes, judicial decisions, and relevant articles.
- Maintain and update the case management system to ensure accuracy.
- Attend court sessions and client meetings as required.
Daily Activities:
- Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams for efficient case management.
- Identify legal matters that necessitate further examination.
- Develop a robust follow-up system to meet critical deadlines for legal filings.
- Manage a substantial caseload with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
- Participate in hearings, settlement discussions, and other court-related activities as needed.
- Review and refine casework prepared by support staff.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey; additional admissions are advantageous
- Proficient in litigation processes including pleadings and discovery
- Familiarity with case management systems preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with clients and colleagues
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing circumstances
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Word
