Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our Commercial Real Estate practice at Woods Rogers. The ideal candidate will have experience performing secretarial tasks and providing administrative support to attorneys in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day secretarial support to the Firm's attorneys, including scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Produce, review, and send legal documents and reports.
  • Create and maintain electronic and physical files for real estate transactions.
  • Assist in the tracking of billable hours.
  • File case documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, closing, and other real estate-related events.
  • Communicate effectively with potential clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Follow established procedures to refer and coordinate conflict checks as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a legal assistant in a commercial real estate practice.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
