Key Responsibilities:- Establish Treatment Goals: Develop and implement dynamic and standardized assessment tools to establish speech and language treatment goals.
- Collaborate with the Team: Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies.
- Provide Therapy Sessions: Provide individual therapy sessions, as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
- Documentation and Billing: Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
- Play-Based Interventions: Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to develop receptive and expressive language skills, considering individual sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
- Functional Experiences: Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
- Communication Strategies: Devise strategies and support to help individuals engage in communication experiences across settings.
- Family and Individual Collaboration: Collaborate with individuals and families to understand their values, interests, and goals.
- Program Development: Contribute to program development and implementation.
- Education and Training: Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
- Master's Degree: Completion of a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Professional Experience: Hold a Speech-Language Pathology Required Professional Experience (RPE) temporary license in the state of California.
- Clinical Skills: Excellent clinical skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and openness to learning and adapting to new situations.
- Therapeutic Approaches: Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
- Passion for Working with Children: Passion for working with children and their families.
- Software and Systems: Skilled at using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
- HIPAA Knowledge: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
Cortica offers a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching and rapid vesting, paid holidays and wellness days, life insurance, disability insurance options, tuition reimbursements for professional development and continuing education, and referral bonuses.
The base pay range for this opening is $87,377 to $88,470, with compensation adjusted based on skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location.
