Job Description:

In this role as a Supplier Industrialization Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with suppliers to develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes. This involves communicating technical requirements, leading supplier improvements, and ensuring they can meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage industrialization activities within the supply chain team
  • Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers
  • Facilitate communication between Suppliers and Tesla Purchasing, Quality, and Design teams
  • Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of assembly plant experience supporting high volume segmented motors, complex assembly, machining, lubrication and end of line electrical testing systems
  • Experience in Quality Systems: PPAP/APQP processes; Experience in developing lines for planetary, strain wave, cycloidal, ball screws, belt drives, lead screws, magnetic gear, speed reduction systems with high specific torque, efficiency, and reliability

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected annual salary: $116,000 - $252,000 + cash and stock awards + benefits
