About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineering student to join our Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations team for a Co-op assignment. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with senior engineering staff on existing and new tools, mechanisms, modules, and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and/or improve flexible manufacturing operations (cost, capacity, efficiency, quality, etc.)
  • Develop & track metrics to measure program health and readiness
  • Design process improvements to increase efficiency, whether in the way teams work together or in the way a production line works
  • Create templates and standard work
  • Manage both readiness for and execution of build activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) builds

What We Offer

This role is a 6-month co-op to join AR full-time (40 hours/week) from January to June 2025. Amazon Robotics co-op opportunities will be based in the Greater Boston Area, in our two state-of-the-art facilities in Westborough and North Reading, MA. Both campuses provide a unique opportunity for interns to have direct access to robotics testing labs and manufacturing facilities.

Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar degree
  • Must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 6-month co-op between January - June 2025
  • Graduation is December 2025 or later
