  • Manage the intake and organization of specimens within the laboratory.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute laboratory procedures including centrifugation, data recording, and specimen management.
  • Prepare necessary reagents and media for testing processes.
  • Organize specimens at designated workstations for analysis, including tasks such as aliquoting and slide preparation.
  • Carry out quality assurance and quality control activities as assigned.
  • Address and resolve any pending issues related to specimen processing.
  • Locate and retrieve missing samples as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and decontamination of work areas.
  • Perform regular safety checks, including radioactive wipe tests.
  • Keep accurate records and files for departmental documentation.
  • Manage the replacement of gas cylinders as required.
  • Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Utilize laboratory information systems and operate personal computers effectively.
  • Safely dispose of biohazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
  • Complete all necessary training and competency evaluations as required.
