Key Responsibilities:

  • Civil design, landfill design, and site layout;
  • Conduct geotechnical engineering analyses, including slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
  • Perform geotechnical and environmental site characterization;
  • Develop and oversee instrumentation monitoring systems;
  • Manage small projects/tasks and assist in proposal preparation;
  • Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
  • Conduct fieldwork related to design and construction services.

Training Requirements:
This position mandates OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training, along with medical monitoring, all provided by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities, including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, to help our professionals enhance their technical and business skills.

Fieldwork and Travel:
Fieldwork may constitute up to 25% of the role, with overnight travel requirements of up to 30%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (required);
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (preferred);
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E.) (preferred);
  • A minimum of 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required);
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills (required);
  • Familiarity with modeling/design tools such as AutoCAD, HydroCAD, ArcMap, SLIDE, FLAC, PLAXIS (preferred);
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred);
  • Ability to travel to client facilities (required);
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
