Position Overview

In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and execution of sophisticated computer vision algorithms and pipelines that support our proprietary Space Aware Video Software Suite. Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deploy computer vision algorithms on embedded systems aimed at detecting, tracking, and classifying airborne and ground-based objects using high-speed imaging technology.
  2. Design and refine AI/ML models for implementation on resource-limited embedded platforms, taking into account memory usage, processing capabilities, and energy consumption.
  3. Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and system architecture to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  4. Conduct evaluations and optimizations of algorithms to ensure efficient and precise real-time performance of high frame rate machine vision systems.
  5. Perform thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting to identify and rectify issues.
  6. Stay informed about the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and computer vision, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our product offerings.
  7. Effectively document and communicate technical concepts, algorithms, and implementation details to team members and stakeholders.
  8. Provide mentorship to junior team members, offering guidance and technical expertise to support their professional development.
Qualifications
  1. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in developing and implementing machine learning and computer vision algorithms and workflows.
  3. Proficient programming skills in C/C++ and Python are essential, with experience in embedded software development being advantageous.
  4. A solid grasp of AI/ML methodologies, deep learning frameworks, and computer vision principles.
  5. Experience with hardware-software integration and optimization for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration, FPGA implementation, and multi-core parallel processing.
  6. Familiarity with popular embedded platforms, such as ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers.
  7. Understanding of basic image processing techniques, camera systems, and sensor integration.
  8. Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development for embedded systems.
  9. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  10. Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of TC/SCI or Secret Clearance is a plus.
