About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Government and Public Relations professional to lead our strategic planning, development, and implementation of public relations and marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy to enhance our image and position within the marketplace and general public.
  • Oversee the development of marketing collateral and public relations activities, including media relations, social media, special events, and community outreach.
  • Manage our brand and reputation, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges in the marketplace and develop strategies to address them.
  • Lead and manage the marketing and public relations team to ensure they are meeting their objectives and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in healthcare, organ procurement, marketing, and public relations, and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key media contacts, community leaders, and industry influencers.
  • Oversee crisis communications and issues management, including coordinating responses to media inquiries and requests for information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level marketing and public relations role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic marketing and public relations programs to advance an organization's mission and goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare policies and organ procurement organizations (OPO).
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, organization's board of directors, and staff.
  • Proven track record of success in community outreach and engagement.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Strong media relations experience with a track record of positive results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
