Aerospace Engineering Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Faculty in Aerospace Engineering at the University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, a demonstrated record of research accomplishments, and an outstanding capacity for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

About the Position

The Aerospace Engineering Program within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina is seeking a qualified applicant for a Tenure-Track faculty position at all levels. The successful candidate will be expected to develop internationally recognized, externally funded research programs in cutting-edge areas of aerospace engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace engineering
  • Develop and maintain a research program in aerospace engineering
  • Advise and mentor students
  • Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated record of research accomplishments
  • Outstanding capacity for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching and research in aerospace engineering
  • Strong vision for aerospace engineering education
