Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Assessments: Execute thorough security assessments on various systems, applications, and network setups to pinpoint security flaws. Formulate and implement detailed testing strategies, evaluate results, and collaborate with relevant teams to enact necessary improvements.
  • Security Infrastructure Management: Supervise and enhance our security infrastructure, which includes SIEM, EDR, NDR, VM, WAF, firewalls, email security, IAM, and more, ensuring they align with security goals and industry best practices.
  • Vulnerability and Incident Oversight: Spearhead the processes for managing vulnerabilities and incidents, prioritizing and addressing issues discovered during security assessments to maintain adherence to security policies and standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate security assessment projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on schedule. Develop and prioritize security initiatives to improve our assessment capabilities and overall security stance.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate detailed security assessment reports, maintain records of assessment methodologies and findings, and ensure that security policies and procedures are regularly updated.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct security audits and evaluations, providing metrics and visual aids to support compliance efforts. Perform routine security assessments and audits.
  • Security Training and Awareness: Assist in the development of internal security testing and monitoring processes, educating stakeholders on the latest security technologies and assessment best practices.
  • Risk Evaluation and Mitigation: Collaborate with IT and other departments to evaluate and mitigate security risks, using assessment results to drive proactive risk management strategies.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with emerging IT security technologies and trends, particularly advancements in security assessment tools and methodologies. Share insights and knowledge with the team to foster innovation.
  • Compliance Assistance: Work alongside internal compliance teams to address compliance requirements through policy development and process enhancements, ensuring that security assessment practices align with regulatory standards.
  • On-call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties to support critical business functions and respond to urgent situations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: At least 5+ years in security engineering, with substantial experience in security assessments.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of security engineering, assessment methodologies, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols, and applied cryptography.
  • AWS Proficiency: Familiarity with AWS is a significant advantage.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or CEH are highly valued.
