Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security controls to protect our infrastructure and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and administer network security controls, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and network access control systems.
  • Perform incident response functions, including identifying and mitigating security threats.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures related to network security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and recommend improvements to our security posture.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a network security engineering role.
  • 5+ years of experience deploying and administering intrusion prevention systems, network access control systems, network detection & response systems, or web application firewalls.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with two of the following solutions: Web application firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network Detection & Response systems, or Network Access Control systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python or Perl.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Expert understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Expert communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Initiative-taking, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to find innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems through research or by engaging colleagues to find a way to get things done autonomously.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, CCNA, CompTIA Security+, SANS GIAC, or GPEN.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
