Key Responsibilities
  • Subcontract Administration: Prepare and manage assigned subcontracts for projects while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Subcontract Development: Assist with the development and monitoring of project subcontract budgets and schedules, including man-hours, cost, subcontract milestone durations, and subcontract goals.
  • Subcontract Negotiation: Execute and manage the subcontract development process on assigned subcontracts, including bid list preparation, solicitation of requests for proposals, and evaluating, negotiating, and awarding subcontracts.
  • Subcontract Compliance: Ensure subcontractor compliance with prequalification requirements and monitor project subcontract activities and report status.
Management Responsibilities

Acts in a capacity of a lead person, providing work direction to others without management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.

Requirements
  • Education: Requires a BA or BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Business, Technical, or a related field. Relevant field or office experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Experience: Six (6) years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Construction Project Management, or Procurement preferred or proven ability to perform at the capacity identified herein.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of subcontract and procurement processes, commercial terms and conditions, and ability to effectively self-execute the transactional subcontract process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, prioritization, and analytical/organizational skills.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Normal office/field environment.
  • Includes but may not be limited to: sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, seeing, and writing.
