We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at a company that specializes in the design and manufacturing of precision springs, metal components, and assemblies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that quality systems are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the International Standard, TS 16949 specification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating customer quality audits of our quality systems.
- Identifying annual quality related training programs.
- Establishing procedures and application of APQP.
- Monitoring quality performance in accordance with established procedures and identifying, evaluating and coordinating the implementation of improvements in products/processes.
- Ensuring quality data is accumulated, evaluated for necessary actions, and communicated to the appropriate personnel.
- Participating in supplier quality audits ensuring compliance with ISO and TS 16949 as appropriate.
- Coordinating internal quality audits and assisting the management in corrective action implementation.
- Assisting in development and distribution of control plans.
- Establishing and maintaining procedures to ensure purchased products conform to specifications and maintaining records of supplier performance as appropriate.
- Providing data for updated lists of approved suppliers.
- Establishing incoming material inspection procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining procedures for product traceability.
- Administering the compliance of PPAP requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining procedures for monitoring and control of special processes.
- Establishing and maintaining procedures for control and implementation of statistical techniques.
- Ensuring procedures for inspection and testing activities are established and documented.
- Responsible for procedures and control for inspecting, measuring and testing equipment and maintaining records of same.
- Developing and maintaining procedures for non-conforming product and tracking progress to establish improvement plans for non-conforming products.
- Communicating corrective action plans to customers.
- Establishing and maintaining procedures for control of quality records.
- Performing all other assignments as directed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years field experience including statistical process control and TS 16949.
- Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning, PPAP, MSA and FMEA.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), Internet, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent quality experience.
