Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to join our team at 555 Penn. The successful candidate will provide key support for events and facilities services, including set-ups and tear-downs, furniture movement, supply stocking, and general facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Setup: 40%
    • Set up events, including tables, linens, chairs, and other necessary items.
    • Communicate with janitorial staff to ensure event-related cleaning needs are met.
    • Perform general basic maintenance of facilities, including simple repairs and equipment assembly.
    • Tear down events, ensuring furniture and supplies are put away.
  • Office Move Support: 25%
    • Support office moves, including moving boxes, chairs, desks, and filing cabinets.
    • Coordinate office/workstation nameplates, including printing, posting, and updating as needed.
  • Facility Maintenance, Inventory, & Stocking: 25%
    • Conduct building checks, including general maintenance and classroom checks, and follow up on any potential issues.
    • Inventory and stock supply rooms and classrooms.
    • Ensure copiers are stocked with paper.
    • Maintain and stock pantries.
    • Work with janitorial staff to identify and resolve any cleaning concerns.
  • Other Duties: 10%
    • Assist with mail/package distribution as needed.
    • Assist with loading dock operations as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
  • Three years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior events coordination experience.
  • Good understanding of building systems.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to work constructively and cooperatively as part of a team and react at the last minute.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Familiarity with mobile device usage for communications and task assignment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate events.
