Job Summary

As a Valve Assembly and Test Specialist at CIRCOR, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the assembly and disassembly of new valves and the repair of existing ones. Your tasks will include setting up tests to ensure that valves meet our quality and operational standards. This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble new valves and repair existing ones
  • Perform tests on valves to confirm they meet the required standards
  • Prepare reports for return material authorizations
  • Provide guidance and instructions for repairs and estimate labor and materials needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude and intermediate knowledge of hand tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and strategic skills
  • High pressure testing and steam testing knowledge

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma/GED
  • 2-4 years' experience in assembly and disassembly
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense issued Confidential Security Clearance
  • Nuclear Navy Machinist Mate experience ideal
