About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Science Director to lead our Late Development Clinical Science team at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping the company's clinical development strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of clinical studies in late stage development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Global Clinical Science Strategy for late stage development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of Clinical Science Asset Leads, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of clinical studies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure effective delivery of clinical studies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical investigators, academic organizations, and co-development partners.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical/scientific training programs for relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with important advances in oncology and hematology, and apply this knowledge to inform clinical development strategies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as pharmacology, medicine, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical oncology, with a strong background in clinical development and a proven track record of delivering clinical studies.
  • Experience with conduct of Ph1-Ph3 studies, including assets transitioning from early to late stage.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of Clinical Science Asset Leads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
