Job Title: Embedded Controls Engineer

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Controls Engineer to join our team. As an Embedded Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded controls platforms, including hardware, tools, and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop embedded controls platforms, including hardware, tools, and peripherals.
  • Create functional requirements and documentation for new electronic control module designs.
  • Schematic design and PCB layout.
  • Component selection and qualification.
  • Develop, release, and maintain embedded software in C/C++.
  • Create functional requirements and documentation for software libraries and applications.
  • Ensure security of embedded software architectures and designs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required.
  • ABET EAC certified Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Master's Degree in Engineering is required for engineering degrees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice, which may include flying.
