Job Summary and Qualifications
As a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, you will deliver the highest standard of preventative, supportive, and nursing care to patients undergoing acute medical/surgical treatment.

Your role will involve creating personalized care plans through thorough assessment and planning.

Our team operates like a family, and we seek individuals who share our commitment to meaningful patient care.


In this position:
  • You will conduct assessments and develop tailored care plans for each patient.
  • You will respond promptly and accurately to any changes in patient conditions or treatment responses.
  • You will collaborate with patients and their families, considering developmental, cultural, and age-specific needs while implementing care plans.
  • You will effectively communicate with physicians regarding patient conditions and diagnostic results.
  • You will perform essential nursing duties across the continuum of care.
  • You will engage in process improvement initiatives within the department.
  • You will work closely with Social Services and Pastoral Care to provide emotional and end-of-life resources for families.
  • You will maintain professionalism and composure, especially in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Utah or a Compact State.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 7 days of hire.
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
Previous experience in critical care is strongly preferred.
Basic Arrhythmia Recognition certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
NIH Stroke Scale certification must be completed within 90 days of employment.
