Role Summary:

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales growth across multiple sectors, including high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, and direct-to-consumer markets. This position reports directly to the Sales Leader and focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business avenues within both residential and commercial sectors.
  • Generate potential leads through networking, attending industry-related events, and fostering connections with builders, designers, and architects.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to encourage referral business.
  • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and propose tailored smart space solutions.
  • Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to craft and present customized proposals.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and product innovations.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales objectives, contributing to the overall growth of the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in the custom integration industry, with at least 2 years in a sales or business development capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in client sales, lead generation, and marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with D-tools SI is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of achieving A/V sales exceeding $1 million annually.
  • Hands-on experience with structured cabling, surveillance, audio/video, networking, and automation systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet client needs.
Work Schedule:
  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute meal break.
  • Overtime may be necessary to support business demands.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Commission and bonuses based on sales performance, with significant earning potential.
  • Total Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000.
