Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Information Governance team as a Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a centralized system of records management, organizing and filing client files, retrieving and distributing files upon request, and updating the Records Management database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Records Management: Enter information into Records Management and Document Management databases, properly file and account for all records, and edit existing records as required.
  • File Preparation: Prepare new files, transfer inactive files to the warehouse, and prepare boxes for offsite storage.
  • Research and Retrieval: Research information on file history, activity, and other relevant details, and track, organize, and retrieve files from central Records Department or warehouse.
  • Customer Service: Work as a customer service representative, solving problems and ensuring compliance with department procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, contribute to the overall success of the local and firm-wide IG team, and train new and existing employees under guidance.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: One year of office experience, including data entry, records filing, and related duties, preferred. Law firm experience a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to lift boxes weighing at least twenty-five pounds repeatedly, and strong organizational and communication skills.
