We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our team as a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager II. This is a key role that requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in commercial and CRE banking, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwriting and Portfolio Management: Evaluate and recommend commercial real estate loan requests for approval, ensuring acceptable credit quality in the portfolio.
  • Loan Underwriting: Handle underwriting on all new requests, renewals, and restructures of existing commercial real estate loans.
  • Problem Asset Identification: Identify problem assets and develop an action plan to mitigate risk.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Portfolio Administrator and Relationship Manager to manage delinquencies, financial statement and documentation exceptions, and monitor past due and coming due loans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with the commercial real estate portion of all FRB Exams, State of MD Safety & Soundness Exams, and DHG Loan Review Exams.
Requirements
  • Commercial Banking Experience: Seasoned professional with a strong background in commercial and CRE banking.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to utilize standard PC-based software to prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple duties while attending to detail.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and make sound recommendations.
Working Conditions

The Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager II will work in a normal office environment with minimal discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements. The position requires occasional travel to remote company and/or client locations.

Compensation

At Sandy Spring Bancorp, compensation is one part of our total rewards package. Compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, education, experience, and location. Additionally, full-time and part-time positions may be eligible to participate in department or company-wide incentive plans.
