Job Summary

The Executive Sous Chef is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, leading the culinary team, and driving menu development to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
  • Quality Control: Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation, maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and manage cost control measures.
  • Kitchen Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting continuous learning and development.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring seamless service and efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company.
  • Be flexible and adapt to changing business demands, including working varied shifts and schedules.
Requirements
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Proven track record in menu development and culinary innovation.
