Goodwill Industries of Northern New England is seeking enthusiastic and approachable individuals to become part of our expanding team. Your primary role will involve engaging with customers, fostering relationships with regular patrons, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will primarily be responsible for front-end operations.

Responsibilities include managing the cash register, organizing merchandise to accommodate new arrivals, assisting in fitting rooms, and cultivating a welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:
Welcome customers warmly, offer assistance, and guarantee they enjoy their shopping journey.

Cash Register Operations:
Process transactions accurately and swiftly while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.

Merchandising:
Contribute to an appealing and orderly sales area by arranging and refreshing products to make space for new inventory.

Fitting Room Assistance:
Support customers in the fitting rooms, ensuring they have everything necessary to make confident purchasing choices.

Team Collaboration:
Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere for customers and team members, building a sense of community within our store.

Minimum Qualifications:

Positive Attitude:
Essential. Exhibit a friendly and optimistic demeanor to create a welcoming work environment.

Basic Math and Literacy Skills:
Necessary for managing transactions and fulfilling job responsibilities.

Flexibility:
Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.

Background Check:
Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with agency standards.

Physical Abilities:
Capable of exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 30 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move items.

Preferred Qualifications:

Retail Experience or Certification:
Previous retail experience or relevant certification is advantageous.

Education:
High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent educational background.
