Job Title: Front Desk Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at The Westin Convention Center, Pittsburgh. As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist staff with expediting problem payments and follow up with guests regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues.
  • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.
  • Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
  • Set up accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in.
  • Anticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations.
  • Block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
  • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
