About the Front Desk Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our team at Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.

The ideal candidate will possess a friendly and approachable demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for maintaining and executing on all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk, including registering guests, processing payments, and responding to requests.

Front Desk Responsibilities
  • Greet and Welcome Guests: Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all guests upon arrival.
  • Registration and Check-in: Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information.
  • Payment Processing: Accept payment for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a house bank, make deposits and accurate reports of receipts daily, and cash checks and exchange currency for guests.
  • Communication: Answer phone calls in a timely manner and respond to requests for late check-outs, room changes, lock-outs, billing inquiries, and extension of stay.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guest satisfaction by providing accurate information and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Security: Issue keys to and control entrance of safety deposit boxes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Post miscellaneous charges as requested, assist in handling mail and facsimiles, and provide guests with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Reservations: Book reservations for guests who approach the front desk.
Front Desk Requirements
  • Office Experience: Familiarity with office machines, such as fax and printer.
  • Administrative Skills: Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English (oral and written).
