Job Summary

The Program Associate is a key member of the Education and Special Education Programs team, providing administrative support to ensure the successful completion of degrees and certificates.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Program Chair, Site Teams, faculty, and other offices to provide comprehensive support to degree and certificate candidates.
  • Assist with new faculty orientation and Course Team meetings, ensuring a smooth transition for new instructors.
  • Develop and maintain analytic reports from student course evaluations to inform course revisions and improve student outcomes.
  • Support newly hired adjunct instructors through the HR process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Facilitate communication with various Program groups, creating and maintaining email lists for course instructors, candidates, and Program completers.
  • Coordinate paperwork for Incomplete Contracts, grade changes, and grade appeals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Organize and maintain digital Program file storage systems, ensuring easy access to Program documents, syllabi, and resources.
  • Schedule and offer administrative advisement/support appointments for candidates, providing personalized support.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest information from the New York State Department of Education, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Uphold the mission and values of Touro College and the Graduate School of Education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree and experience in P-12 education preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to write and speak effectively.
  • Well-organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Data literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Banner, and cloud-computing services.
  • Experience with web-conferencing tools and Canvas a plus.
