Our client, a distinguished Non-Profit organization, is seeking a Budget & Financial Reporting Analyst on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers a positive work culture and a balanced work-life environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field

• Over 5 years of experience in budgeting and financial reporting

• Proficient in preparing financial statements and reports, analyzing financial transactions, managing expenditure plans, and tracking spending

• Advanced skills in Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assessing budget proposals and funding requests.
  • Collaborating with project leaders to formulate budgets.
  • Performing comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to deliver insights into organizational performance.
  • Conducting cost-benefit assessments to evaluate value.
  • Approving or denying funding requests.
  • Ensuring budget proposals comply with relevant regulations.
  • Justifying budget recommendations to management.
  • Establishing a final budgetary agreement with management.
  • Monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
  • Projecting and estimating future financial requirements.
  • Assisting with financial modeling, cash flow forecasts, and projections for award payment commitments.
  • Preparing quarterly briefs and PowerPoint presentations for external stakeholders, including cash and fund balances, activity statements, financial position statements, budget versus actual performance, actual funds committed, and outstanding award obligations.
  • Compiling monthly reports for management on actual funds committed, fund and cash balances, and outstanding award obligations.
  • Updating multi-year cash flow projections.
  • Monitoring daily cash positions.
