Role Overview:

The Product Training Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering training programs focused on sink and faucet products for Elkay's key clientele, including external stakeholders such as specifying engineers, architects, contractors, and building owners, as well as internal team members like field sales representatives and customer service associates. This role collaborates closely with engineering, product management, and commercial sales teams to create and implement training content for the entire range of sink and faucet solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all sink and faucet product solutions, addressing the training needs of customers, field representatives, and internal associates.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop training strategies for Elkay's product offerings for both new and existing field representatives.
  • Design, create, and deliver technical training materials for specifying engineers, architects, contractors, and developers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management and engineering to gather feedback from customers and representatives post-training to enhance business operations.
  • Ensure that training courses and supporting documentation are technically accurate and comply with engineering and product management standards.
  • Stay updated on training methodologies and suggest process improvements based on best practices from other business units.
  • Support the Elkay Sinks & Faucets Business Unit as needed to facilitate specifications for new product launches, including in-person and/or virtual presentations to enhance specification share.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or marketing, with relevant technical experience; other related fields will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in plumbing, sinks, or faucets is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in technical training, product support, or customer service roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and functions.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% as required.
