Job Title: Part Time Customer Service Clerk

This is a part-time position that requires excellent customer service skills. As a Customer Service Clerk, you will be responsible for providing a positive shopping experience for our customers. This includes operating the cash register, providing services at the customer service counter, and maintaining security and control of all funds in the cash register.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide services at the customer service counter, including answering questions and resolving customer issues.
  • Maintain security and control of all funds in the cash register.
  • Perform duties of floor monitor when not assigned to be on-duty.
  • May be assigned to be the on-duty floor monitor.
  • Perform duties of cashier and bagger when appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and calculate a discount % amount.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate.
